About the Demonstration of the Ceremony of the Passing of the Veils
Step back in time to the formative years of the Royal Arch with an exclusive demonstration of The Ceremony of the Passing of the Veils.
Historically worked in English Chapters between 1780 and 1820, this ceremony once served as the essential bridge between the Craft and the Royal Arch.
Though largely removed from English workings following the Browne revision of 1835, the Veils remain a vital piece of our heritage. This historical re-creation offers a unique “best guess” at the ritual that once prepared candidates for Exaltation. Attendees will witness the symbolic journey from the despair of the Third Degree toward the hope of the Second Temple.
Why You Should Attend:
Historical Insight: Explore the origins of our ritual and see how the Veils influenced the modern Installation of the Three Principals.
Symbolic Depth: Witness the transition of the “Sojourners” as they seek regeneration and discovery.
Rare Opportunity: Experience a ceremony that survives today only in specific regions like Bristol, Ireland, and Scotland.
Dining information will be contained in your confirmation email.
