HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE APK ON YOUR ANDROID DEVICE – ADVANCED USERS

This guide is only for android users. If you have an Apple device, please simply visit the App store where you can download the app like you normally would any other app.

Step 1: Allow Installation from Unknown Sources
By default, Android devices only allow installation of apps from the Google Play Store for security reasons. Since you are installing an APK from an external source, you’ll need to enable installation from “Unknown Sources.”
1. Go to “Settings” on your Android device.
2. Scroll down and tap “Security” or “Privacy” (depending on your device).
3. Under the “Security” section, find and toggle on “Install unknown apps” or “Allow from this source.”
4. Select the app (e.g., Chrome or your file manager app) from which you’ll be opening the EK Province APK file.
5. Enable “Allow from this source” for that app.

Step 2: Download the APK File
Make sure you have the APK file for the EK Province Members App stored on your device.
1. If you haven’t already, download the APK here. DO NOT download from any other source or download any other APK files unless you know that they are and trust the source. (official website, verified third-party source, etc.).
2. Once downloaded, the APK file should be saved in your Downloads folder or the specific folder you chose.

Step 3: Locate the APK File
After the APK has been downloaded:
1. Open the File Manager or Downloads app on your Android device.
2. Navigate to the folder where the APK file is stored, e.g., Downloads.
3. Tap on the APK file to start the installation process.

Step 4: Begin Installation
Once you tap on the APK file, the system will prompt you to confirm the installation.
1. Review the permissions that the app is requesting. If you deny location etc, you will not be abele to use the finder function fully.
2. Tap Install to begin the installation.
3. The installation process will take a few moments

Step 5: Wait for Installation to Complete
After a few seconds to a minute, you’ll see a confirmation screen indicating that the app has been successfully installed.
• Tap Open to launch the app immediately, or tap Done if you want to finish the installation and open the app later.

Step 6: Open and Set Up the EK Province Members App
1. Find the EK Province Members App icon on your home screen or in your app drawer.
2. Open the app to start using it.

Step 7: Disable Installation from Unknown Sources (Optional)
For added security, it’s recommended to disable the “Allow from this source” setting after the app is installed:
1. Go back to Settings > Security (or Settings > Privacy).
2. Toggle on the “Install unknown apps” option for the app you used to install the APK file.
