The teddy bears came out for a picnic at Venetian fete

A team of group 6 Masons teamed up with the TLC Appeal to participate at the historic Hythe Venetian Fete held on Wednesday 17th August 2022

After the success of the 2017 Tercentenary Float, it was decided to promote this worthwhile masonic charity however due to Covid the fete had been delayed for a while.

The theme for the float was a teddy bears picnic and while the float was in procession our own TLC teddy walked the banks along with the TLC helpers raising awareness and handing out leaflets and TLC teddys to any young child or baby they came across which proved hugely popular with everyone.
It is hoped that the event not only raised awareness to the TLC Appeal and to Freemasonry but also raised but some much needed money to support the charity.

The Hythe Venetian Fete committee even decided to make it their nominated charity and promoted the cause throughout the afternoon and evening which was very much apricated by all those involved.
The float was given third place in the large societies and clubs category to the credit of all those who volunteered
Many thanks to all those who helped construct the float, to those who helped on the day as well as our two man in a boat who steered us straightish and true, and especially to all the group 6 lodges who sponsored the float as with out them it would not have happened.
