Eggstra Special Easter Egg Delivery

Youngsters across East Kent are to be given an Easter Treat thanks to our Widows Sons Chapter. 
"Chippy" or as we know him, Jamie Stenhouse dressed in a familiar outfit of the Easter Bunny.

A warm welcome

A chilly Sunday morning in Sunny Margate, saw 15 intrepid bikers arrive at the Millmead Children’s Centre. (MCCPL)

Riding a real assortmaent of motorbikes, Harleys, BMW’s, Triumph’s and more, the noise was music to some ears, and deafening to my grandson. But his face was a picture of amazement. 

Donning a variety of jackets, displaying in all their splender, badges, names and symbols, it was at first an intimidating sight.

Then we spotted a familar face, the EASTER BUNNY! Not to spoil the surprise, but it is actually “Chippy” or as we know him Jamie Stenhouse.

Having started their travels in Minster, the first delivery of eggs was done, then it was a fairly short and cold ride to Margate. 
Pulling into the carpark the Widows Sons headed into the community centre for a well deserved hot drink and snack.

After settling into the warmth of the community centre, and enjoying a well dererved cup of tea, coffee of hot chocolate, the Widows Sons brought in the Easter Eggs.

The last job of the trip was to line up and present the Eggs to the management committee. A very grateful Gemma Shepherd and the staff and helpers were truely thank you for the kind gifts. 

Gemma told us of one family who were going to have to sell their carpets in order to give their children a Christmas present. They didn’t have to, because of the toys the Widows Sons delivered at Chritmas to the centre.

The next stop for the bikes was the Rising Sun Domestic Abuse Charity along with, Footprints and Strode Park.
