Brothers Ryan and Scott Bloomfield are currently training for a 980-mile cycle ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats. This is in aid of ST Thomas’ hospital in London to raise as much money as possible, the reason is the hospital saved their father Frederick last year.

Ryan is a member of William Russell Lodge 3103 in Gravesend along with his father, which Scott was to be initiated this year, but with current events will hopefully be joining soon.

The charity event consists of a 9-day cycle ride across Britain averaging 110 miles per day. They have set a goal of raising a minimum of £5000.

They have a strict training plan to follow to make sure they are ready on the day, they are currently training at home on indoor trainers using online cycling apps and  have created a Facebook page, along with an online donation page to keep people up to date with their progress.

Ryan said, “This event is very motivational to us and despite these exceptional times, it gives us a goal for the days ahead”.

They have just found out, that the event has been postponed to 2021, but you are still able to support them.
