Our Province helps with the cost of Prostate Cancer Screening tests

The Province of East Kent is offering Prostate Cancer Screening tests and is meeting part of the cost through the Cornwallis East Kent Freemasons Charity.

There are around 48,500 new prostate cancer cases in the UK every year, that’s more than 130 every day (2015-2017).

Around 11,900 prostate cancer deaths in the UK every year, that’s 32 every day (2016-2018).

Almost 9 in 10 (86.6%) of men diagnosed with prostate cancer in England survive their disease for five years or more (2013-2017).

Since the Province offer started on the 14th of June 2021 it had received 178 email enquiries in 10 days, 121 discount codes were requested and supplied over the 10 days

Out of 22 results already return, 2 need further investigation by a doctor, it may be easier to treat or cure if the symptoms are found early.

It’s recommended that men over the age of 50 have regular prostate cancer screening, tests can reduce a person’s chance of dying from prostate cancer.

If this is something that you may feel will help you, there is a leaflet that guides you through the registration process.

Don’t leave your health to chance.
