Almoners’ Breakfast

Invitation to the Breakfast Meeting – Saturday 14th March 2026 at the Tovil Masonic Centre,

Courtenay Road, Maidstone ME15 6QS.

I am delighted to advise that the Annual Almoners’ Meeting will again be held this year on Saturday 14th March 2026 at the Tovil Masonic Centre, Courtenay Road, Maidstone. This meeting is open to all brethren and companions across the Province and do hope they will join the Lodge and Chapter Almoners and their assistants to take the opportunity to meet up with their fellow colleagues.

This year we are delighted once again to welcome the Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Neil Hamilton Johnstone together with other members of the Executive. We are also pleased to have as our Guest Speakers, Nina Stephens and Fiona Hodges from the Prince George Duke of Kent RMBI Care Home in Chislehurst. They will provide some helpful advice and guidance explaining all aspects relating to admission and the activities provided.
Jo Down is a Cancer Care Navigator supporting 5 GP Surgeries in the West Malling area and will be giving a walkthrough of her day to day activities.. There will also be an update from WBro Graham Chisnell on Building Together specifically on those areas where the Almoner can play a crucial role within the Unit Management Teams.

Once again this will be a Breakfast event following on from the successful meeting last year. The Provincial Grand Almoner will provide an update of events in the past year including some Good News stories from around the Province that were so well received last year. This will be followed by an open Question and Answer session with members of the panel.

All brethren are most welcome to attend the breakfast and should plan to arrive by 9.30am with breakfast being served at 10am. The event should end no later than 12.30pm and I do hope that you will make every effort to attend.

A full English breakfast with fruit juice, toast and unlimited tea and coffee will be available for ticket holders only at a cost of £15.50. Booking requests should be made to me no later than Monday 9th March 2026 using the form below.

I know there are some Almoners and brethren who do not have an email address can I therefore ask Secretaries/Scribes to please mention this event in your 2nd Rising and pass these details onto them.
