Worshipful Bro. Peter Charles Hagger PSGD

Responsibilities include the Library and Museum and liaison with East Kent Masonic Centres.

Born in Folkestone in 1949, where his family have lived within the area for many years, Peter is married to Jane and they have two married sons, a married daughter and three granddaughters.

Peter was educated at Dover College and went on to study Building and Structural Engineering in South East London before returning to Kent to join the family business. He is the Managing Director of two property Companies; one building private residential properties and housing estates and the other a property holding and rental company. He is a Past President of the former Kent branch of the Institute of Construction Management and recently also retired his memberships as a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Builder.

Peter’s hobbies include both sea and fly-fishing and he is a “fly casting” member of the East Kent branch of the Masonic Fishing Charity. He is also a keen motor biker; currently riding a 2003 (Jubilee series) Harley Road King, enjoys watching rugby (having, in his youth, played wing for several London clubs), F1, gardening and occasionally playing musical instruments.

Peter’s father introduced him to Freemasonry and, following his first Lodge Mastership in 1987, he has been honoured with several Active Provincial Offices within the Province. Peter has always advocated teamwork. He was an active member of the Provincial DC Escorting team from 2003, which led to his appointment as the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies in 2008. Peter was subsequently appointed Provincial Grand Secretary and Scribe Ezra in 2011 until his appointment as an Assistant Provincial Grand Master in 2014.
