Ladies Festival Success

During my tenure as Master of Robinson Lodge 2046 for the 2023-2024 period, I had the pleasure of hosting a Ladies Festival on September 28, 2024, at The Great Danes Hotel in Hollingbourne. This annual event was a resounding success, raising an impressive £600 for my chosen charity, The Heart of Kent Hospice.

Charity Presentation

On January 31, 2025, I had the privilege of presenting a cheque to the Hospice, which was warmly received by their representatives. This donation will undoubtedly contribute to the vital work of the Hospice in providing care and support to those in need.

I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to everyone who supported the Ladies Festival and contributed to this outstanding fundraising effort. Your generosity and kindness will have a lasting impact on the lives of those supported by The Heart of Kent Hospice.

60th Certificate Presentation for WBro Robyn Doughty, of Chatham Lodge No 4465

You don’t get many 60th Certificates being handed out in the Province, so when one comes along, we pull out all the stops and send our most senior Freemasons to make the presentation.

This was by no menas any exception. Our Provincial Deputy Grand Master, VW Bro Phil South had the honour of presenting the certificate, to WBro Robyn Doughty, at the Chatham Lodge No 4465.

Robyn was thrilled to have received the certificate, and thank Phil South and the rest of the attendees for making it a special evening.

Burns Night 2025: Castle and Commemoration Lodges, (Sandgate), Romney Marsh Lodge, Temple and Prince Edwin’s Lodges, Hythe.

On Saturday 18th January a ‘Burns Night’ was held at Etchinghill Golf Course.  The night was organised by W/Bro Chic Cameron (aided by W/Bro’s Pete West and Eric Cook).  Chic also compered the evening.

The night was extremely well supported by brethren, their families and friends, from Castle and Commemoration Lodges, (Sandgate), Romney Marsh Lodge, Temple and Prince Edwin’s Lodges, Hythe.

A very enjoyable evening was had by all, and included not only the traditional Burns Supper, but also a table quiz (on Scot’s history), singing, accompanied by the band, and piper’s poems (read in a Scot’s accent of course).

The evening raised £500.00 in support of Pilgrims Hospice.  Also, the TLC ‘Teddy’ money box made an appearance, in the care of the Charity Steward, W/Bro Ian Cutter, which raised a further £66.60, in change, to support the Kent TLC appeal.
