What we do

We organise the Province’s two golf championships:-

  • The Geoffrey Gordon Dearing Bowl, and
  • The William Blay Trophy

We arrange annual challenge matches against neighbouring Provinces:-  West Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Metropolitan.

We represent the Province in The South of England Masonic Provinces Golf Championship:  The Beauchamp Trophy.

And many other events as well.

The Geoffrey Gordon Dearing Bowl is an individual stableford competition, the winner of which has the honour of being the champion golfer in the Province. The championship was introduced in 2011 to mark the formation of the EKMGA. Shortly thereafter, following his Installation, our new Provincial Grand Master, Geoffrey Dearing, who is himself a keen golfer, agreed that the championship and winner’s trophy could be named in his honour. This year’s Championship will be held on Thursday 23rd June at Tenterden Golf Club. Click here for details.

The William Blay Trophy is a stableford tournament for teams of four players representing either their lodge or chapter. There is no restriction on the number of teams a lodge or chapter can enter. The trophy, presented by and named after the then Deputy Provincial Grand Master, William Blay, was first contested in 1937. This year’s tournament will be held on Tuesday 7th June at West Malling Golf Club. Click here for details.

Representative matches against neighbouring Provinces, including participation in the South of England Masonic Provinces Championship for the Beauchamp Trophy, provide good competitive fun with friendly rivalry and enduring friendships. Click here for details.
