On Tuesday 14th February Saedingburna Lodge No 6728 laid on a Valentines lunch party for a group of over fifty senior citizens at the “Age Concern” centre in Sittingbourne.

The lodge paid for a three-course lunch, prepared by the Age Concern caterers, while some lodge members, and one of their wives, provided the waiter service.

The lodge team laid on some party games and music was provided by Bruce, a singer/guitarist whose father is an Age Concern visitor, who volunteered his services to add to the entertainment.

The lodge also provided a table full of presents and held a draw making sure that everyone received a gift.

Needless to say that with good food, great entertainment and a present for everyone, the guests from Age Concern had a wonderful time.

Commenting after the event, Lodge Secretary Keith Whitby said: “Love was certainly in the air at this event” and went on to add “We hope to involve the other Sittingbourne lodges next year and lay on something bigger and better”.
