On the 19th September, members from the Pentangle Lodge No 1174 attended the Annual Universities Medway Freshers Fair.
The Pentangle Lodge is part of the United Grand Lodge’s Universities Scheme. The scheme was set up in 2005 with the objective: “To establish and/or enhance arrangements and opportunities for undergraduates and other university members to enjoy Freemasonry”.

There are now over 75 other Lodges involved in this fantastic scheme. Their membership consists of undergraduates, postgraduates, senior members of the university and alumni, ranging in age from 18 upwards. All under-25s benefit from the recent decision by Grand Lodge to halve their dues in order to make Freemasonry as accessible to as wide an audience as possible.

The Pentangle Lodge is also involved in two open days at the Gundulph Square Masonic Centre, Rochester, where they provide an opportunity to explain Freemasonry and the benefits of joining such and excellent organisation as ours. Interestingly, the lodge also received a number of potential membership enquiries from female undergraduates wanting to join Freemasonry.
