The Widows Sons prepare to deliver the toys donated to their Christmas Appeal

The South East Chapter of the Widows Sons MBA recently completed a Christmas Appeal for toys to be given to under-privileged children. Click here for an earlier report on this appeal.

The motorcyclists were overwhelmed by the support they received, not only with the toys that were given but also with monies totalling £1,800 given by generous Freemasons and their families at the various Masonic Centres that took part.

It was therefore possible for some 30 bikers dressed as Father Christmas, with pillion passengers dressed as elves, to deliver toys with a total value of more than £3,000 to the Bromley Childrens and Families Voluntary Sector Forum.

Greg Kirby, the President of the South East Chapter, said: ”On behalf of the South East Chapter of the Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association I want to say a BIG Thank You to the Freemasons, Masonic Centres, Iceni Chapter and individuals who rallied to our appeal for Christmas Toys.”

The Chapter will soon be launching an appeal for Easter Eggs and collection bins will be provided for those Masonic Centres wishing to take part. Once again the eggs will be delivered by the bikers to a deserving cause. Please use the form below to contact the South East Chapter.
