On a bright and breezy 4th June, the Cornwallis It’s A Knockout Challenge was held at Aylesford Bull’s Rugby Club.
Over 200 competitors in twenty-one teams competed for the trophies and, by virtue of their sponsorship, raised £20,000 for Macmillan Nurses. The fun-filled activities were watched by a thousand spectators who noisily cheered on their teams. The event was also one of many being held this year to celebrate Freemasonry’s Tercentenary.
Also benefiting from the Event was the KM Charity Team which works alongside the KM Group, Kent’s biggest multi-media publisher. The team aims to support and promote green travel to school and other health and wellbeing initiatives. It also delivers other services to help schools, and provides support to PTA groups and charities to help them with their fundraising. A key focus in 2017 is the KM Literacy Initiative, which includes Buster’s Book Club, with its emphasis on home reading. For more information please visit: www.kmcharityteam.co.uk.
