Monday the 14th May saw St John’s Thanet Lodge host what is called a “Blue Table” Meeting*.
The evening was very well attended by eleven guests who had expressed an interest in Freemasonry, and wanted to know more.
They were given an insight into the history of St John’s Lodge, the meeting times and dates, our involvement in the Charity side of Freemasonry and our Social events. This was delivered by Sean Framton, who had previously presented this talk at his own lodge, Porta Maris.
Each guest was then presented with a presentation pack, which detailed the subjects covered in the talk.
The event was a great success, and we thank Sean for delivering the talk in an excellent manor.
Further details about joining Freemasonry can be found on the Provinces Just Ask Website here.
*A “Blue Table” is a Masonic Meeting where non masons can come along and learn about Freemasonry, the Lodge and what we do.
(Unlike a “White Table” which is open to all guests including ladies, a “Blue Table” is for men only).
