Wealden Sailability is a registered charity and a member of the Royal Yaughting Association’s  Sailability scheme. Every Tuesday and Thursday from April to the end of October a twenty-five strong group of volunteers take over 40 disabled people sailing on Chipstead Lake, Sevenoaks. The clients come from all over Kent, South London and Sussex, and the charity tries to cater for anyone and everyone with a disability, regardless of their age. The aim is to try to develop each individual’s full potential and get them to a level where they can sail on their own. A small fee, currently £3.00 per half day is charged to cover operating costs.

Paddock Wood Lodge No 4291 wanted to support this good cause because one of their members – Bob Turk - is actively involved with the charity. On behalf of his lodge, Bob presented the cheque to Mike Coleman of Wealden Sailability.
