Son Receives the Third Degree
Bro Liam Hopson, WBro Len Hopson, APGM Brian Powell, Escorting DC WBro Lawrence Andrews
On the 26th January 2009, WBro Len Hopson, of Manor of Gillingham Lodge No 3983,
had the joy and privilege of initiating his son, Liam, who was passed by the
Master of the lodge, WBro David Mantle, on the 23rd March.
On 23rd November, in the presence of APGM Brian Powell, WBro Len was thrilled
to have been invited to raise son Liam. Subsequently, he was reported to have
said, ‘It is not the first time I have given Liam the third degree’.
No doubt Liam would have had something to say about that, but if he did,
there is no record as to what it was!
