The Masonic Province of East Kent has long been an advocate and a leader in the development of Masonic Membership. A group of volunteers help to implement a method of attracting new members through events, High Street displays, open days at Masonic centres and presentations – the so-called independent route to membership. These volunteers include a small team at the centre and a larger group of fully-trained volunteers and spokesmen in various locations around the Province.
David Graeme – Head of Membership Events Team / Provincial Membership Officer
Assistant Provincial Grand Master David’s role is to manage the development and implementation of the Province’s Membership Strategy through, in part, the Membership Events Team and the Membership Advisers. He and his teams oversee the independent route as a supplement to the traditional system whereby potential Freemasons are identified by existing members and invited to join.
David King – Membership Events Team Leader
David manages the day to day implementation of the Membership Events strategy. He ensures a coordinated and effective presence across the Province at local events, in High Streets and Shopping Malls. He also oversees presentations at appropriate institutions to help reach the target audiences.
Barry Devereese – Membership Advisers Team Leader
Barry manages enquiries from the Events Team, the Just Ask One website and other sources. He passes on the appropriate enquiry to the local Membership Adviser and manages timelines.
Ron Carter and Ian Ireland – Membership Events Team Managers
With Ian’s assistance, Ron manages the Events Team at various locations including staffing and logistics.
Allan Jones – Membership Events Team Diary Manager
Allan manages the administration of Events with the event organisers, managers and communications team.
