In today’s world of electronic communications, social media, smartphones and so on, a presence on the internet can help bring you to the attention of the public-at-large.

A website provides the lodge with an opportunity to define itself, its origins and any special interests it may have. You can also use it to present any news stories about your lodge or its members. Once you have a website, you can use social media to help attract attention to it and have a presence in the communications channels used by today’s modern man.

It could prove helpful in a number of ways, for example:-

  • A Brother that relocates to your area and is looking for a local lodge to join.
  • Men who may be interested in Freemasonry, but have no Masonic contacts, may find you via your website.
  • If you have a special interest, for example sporting, military or old-school, then it may help to attract men who share that interest.
  • You have a good news story that the public should know about.
