In November 2016, Kent Search and Rescue received a grant of £2,500 from the Cornwallis East Kent Freemasons’ Charity. The grant was made to help in the purchase and fitting out of a new control vehicle.

The new vehicle was delivered in February 2017 and, before its official inauguration, it was used in a search in Dover. The Kent Search and Rescue volunteer dog team found the man, who had suffered a head injury, and stretchered him back to safety.

East Kent Freemasons should feel proud that this grant has helped save the life of a vulnerable member of our local community and will continue to do so for many years to come.
